Welcome to my online gallery. To be quite honest I feel slightly uncomfortable with the title ‘artist’, particularly since I started painting in the late summer of 2009, have no track record, no gallery outlet and certainly no artistic c.v. containing venues of exhibitions, prizes or awards - in fact I am still trying to establish a style/technique or subject direction that suits my skills level and temperament. For the moment I am happy to record what I see in a style that comes naturally to me. However, I anticipate that as time progresses this will change radically, although the landscape link will always remain - since that is the inspiration for this creative outburst.
It would be slightly misleading of me not to mention my creative link through my previous work as a graphic designer, and that prior to that four years of study at Sunderland College of Art - a foundation year followed by three years of Graphics. The foundation year was the last time I seriously put paint on canvas and a date I dare not reveal!
I hope the following galleries are of interest - and if you have ever visited this part of England that perhaps an image looks familiar - the view is still there whenever you care to return.
